Our Therapy Offerings

We offer individual therapy as a collaborative and personalized process designed to help you navigate challenges, address trauma, and support your overall well-being. Our work together is grounded in creating a safe, nonjudgmental space where you can explore your thoughts, feelings, and experiences with openness and care.
In individual therapy, we aim to provide support, guidance, and honest reflection as you move through personal challenges, build on your strengths, and cultivate a more meaningful and balanced life. Together, we can explore the patterns that shape your experiences, deepen your connection to your emotions and body, and develop strategies for navigating stress, anxiety, depression, and other emotional concerns.
Whether you’re working through trauma, identity exploration, grief and loss, body image concerns, relationship challenges, or seeking greater self-awareness and personal growth, we are here to walk alongside you. Individual therapy can help you gain clarity, develop new perspectives, and reclaim a stronger sense of agency in your life.

We offer couples therapy as a supportive space to strengthen and nurture intimate and bonded relationships. Our work together is a collaborative process—between you, your partner(s), and your therapist—designed to help you navigate challenges, build trust, and deepen your connection.
Couples therapy can be helpful for many experiences, including communication struggles, rebuilding trust & safety, navigating sexual concerns, balancing power dynamics, restructuring your relationship, navigating chronic health or pain challenges, deconstructing internalized ablism or managing conflicts around family or finances. Whether you’re in a long-term partnership or just beginning your journey together, we are here to help you cultivate stronger bonds, greater intimacy, and more effective ways of relating.
In our sessions, we will work together to recognize patterns, both behavioral and emotional, that may be contributing to conflict or disconnection. From there, we’ll practice new ways of engaging with one another, managing conflict with compassion, and communicating more openly and effectively. Our goal is to support you in creating the kind of relationship that feels authentic, resilient, and connected.

We offer group therapies and workshops as a supportive space to connect with others who may share similar experiences. In group therapy, we come together in community to explore challenges, build coping skills, and learn from one another in a safe and affirming environment.
Groups can provide a unique sense of belonging while reminding us that we are not alone in what we’re going through. Together, we practice vulnerability, celebrate growth, and create meaningful connections while working toward healing and self-understanding.

We offer adolescent therapy to support young people in navigating the unique challenges of adolescence and fostering their overall well-being. Our work together is a collaborative process between a therapist and a teenager (ages 12–18), designed to provide guidance, encouragement, and tools during a critical stage of development.
Adolescence can be both exciting and overwhelming. Many young people experience challenges related to identity, self-esteem, anxiety, depression, peer relationships, body image, puberty, school, or family dynamics. In therapy, we create a safe and nonjudgmental space where teens can express themselves openly, explore what they’re going through, and develop skills to navigate these experiences with resilience.
In our sessions, we work with each young person to identify their strengths, clarify their hopes for therapy, and find supportive strategies for reaching their goals. Depending on the teen’s needs, sessions may include talking, art, play, or other creative approaches that make therapy feel accessible and engaging.
We also recognize the importance of family dynamics in a teen’s well-being. As needed, we offer parent sessions to provide deeper support for the adolescent and strengthen family connections in a collaborative, compassionate way.

Rooted Soma offers a range of professional development trainings designed to equip clinicians and providers with the tools to offer affirming, holistic, and justice-oriented care. Our trainings provide a fresh perspective on topics often overlooked in traditional professional development, focusing on embodied, anti-oppressive, and community-centered practices.
Our current offerings include:
Disability Justice 101 for Counselors: An introduction to working with the disabled community, including a focus on supporting autistic adults and an overview of meltdown mapping.
Meltdown Mapping & Risk Reduction for Autistic Adults: Learn an alternative to traditional safety planning that incorporates somatic awareness, harm reduction, and the distinction between suicidality and death contemplation.
Sensory Discovery: This training provides an introduction to using sensory input for trauma-informed support, regulation, and titration, available in both client-focused and clinician-focused versions.
Working with Grief & Loss: Explore a compassionate, cross-modal approach to grief that depathologizes the process and provides resources for meaningful companion care.
F*ck You Therapy
Explore your relationship to ancestral and Sacred Rage inspired by the workings of Jennifer Mullen. F*ck you therapy is a framework developed by Aiyla Cook which helps you support clients in exploring their primal and sacred connection to anger and rage. It centers on somatic practice as an embodied and connective way to work with rage and grief.
Our goal is to help you expand your practice and provide more inclusive and sustainable care for your clients.

We believe that clinicians thrive when they are rooted in authentic connection and collective care. Rooted Soma offers multiple avenues for peer consultation to help you deepen your skills, navigate challenges, and build a sustainable practice.
Individual Consultation
For more specialized support, our providers offer 1:1 peer consultations in their specific areas of expertise. These sessions are an opportunity to explore challenging cases or professional growth in a focused, one-on-one setting. You can connect with a provider whose niche aligns with your needs to receive guidance grounded in their unique experience and wisdom.
Peer Consultation Groups
Our peer consultation groups are a vital part of our commitment to sustainable community care. While these groups are peer-oriented, they are held within a transparent, intentional hierarchy where a group leader holds the container and ensures the space remains safe and productive. This allows you to bring your toughest cases, process your own clinical experiences, and receive honest reflection from peers within a secure and supported environment. Using an anti-oppressive and embodied framework, we help you deepen your skills and maintain your well-being in a profession that often demands so much.
