Jamie Henry (she/they) is a Licensed Professional Counselor and doctoral candidate in Counselor Education and Supervision. With over eight years of clinical experience across community mental health, outpatient, and private practice settings, Jamie brings a liberation-centered, decolonizing lens to both therapy and supervision. She provides individual counseling, clinical supervision, and consulting grounded in the belief that healing is a radical act.
Jamie works affirmingly with queer and transgender individuals, Black, Brown, Indigenous, and Asian communities, and neurodivergent clients. Her clinical approach integrates person-centered theory, narrative and counter-story frameworks, Internal Family Systems, trauma-focused modalities, and Critical Race Theory-informed practice. She is particularly passionate about supporting clients at the intersection of identity, systemic oppression, and mental health, and about training the next generation of culturally responsive, liberation-oriented clinicians.

I am a Black, queer, and gender-expansive clinician and educator. I show up to this work shaped by my own lived experience of navigating systems that were not designed with people like me in mind, and by a deep commitment to building something different. My practice is not neutral, and I do not pretend that it is. Black values built this work, and that shows up in how I conceptualize healing, how I hold space, and who I center.
I hold identities of both marginalization and privilege, and I am committed to ongoing reflection on how those positionalities inform my relationships with clients, supervisees, and colleagues. I bring a commitment to anti-oppressive, intersectional practice into every clinical encounter, not as an add-on, but as the foundation.
